This blog has a wide range of posts, including one about a
Sydney council hall that regularly turns into a volunteer-run “repair café” - which
aims to stop everyday items going to landfill - all the way to the US
where veteran singer Dolly Parton is helping kids read because her dad never
learnt how. There is also a timely post about how to spend Christmas Eve the
Icelandic way, posts about various Street Libraries that are opening around the
place, and an informative one about how people who read and write are less
likely to get dementia – what a great excuse to spend a few hours lost in a
book!

The New York Public Library’s YouTube page features a range of videos dating from 4 months to 11 years old. They are organised under such headings as: Library Stories, personal accounts of regular people whose lives have been touched by the library; Live Shorts, the library’s flagship ticketed event series; Inside the New York Public Library, which offers a cinematic, behind-the-scenes look at one of the library’s historic buildings and the special collections it houses; and Treasures of the New York Public Library where you can watch as librarians, curators and special guests share their passion for the best bits of the library’s collections.

The National Library has an interesting Facebook
page. There is a mysterious historic photo captioned: “Can you guess what may
be coming to the library shortly?” as well as a video of a book launch, a
Recommendations and Reviews section, and information about the 2019
International Day of People with Disabilities. There’s a banner promoting the
current Australian Children’s Literature exhibition which runs till February, with
comments by people who have seen it. There is also general information about
the library, links to other libraries and galleries, a lovely May Gibbs artwork
to promote an event called the Summer of Stories, and lots more!

Prince William Public Library
The Prince William Public Library's Twitter page explains that Prince William is an American public library system serving Prince William County, Manassas, and Manassas Park (in Virginia).
The main part of the page is devoted to Tweets and Replies, which includes details of upcoming competitions, interesting historic photos and re tweets from other libraries. There is also a section called Media which I couldn't open, and another section called Worldwide Trends where our very own State Premier rates a mention...#BerejiklianBushfires has 2766 tweets.

The State Library's Insta page contains beautiful images from its collection. There are also several sections I was unable to open as I'm not on Instagram. They are titled: Scout, Off the shelf, Open day, Living language, B-list book club, Dead central and Bri lee x. The Insta page has 841 posts, 15.5k followers, and 222 following.
